Finnick’s death ruined the whole series for me. He was my ultimate fave and I fell in love with his character. It seriously depressed me and I cried when I finished Mockingjay. Sorry for ranting.
And remember, the truth that once was spoken…
come away little lamb come away to the water, give yourself so we may live anew
I just read The Hunger Games again. The absolute best books ever. I bawled like a baby. How can a book series leave you so happy and so sad all at once?
As Panem has matured through the ages, so has the nefarious tournament of brawn versus wit known as the Hunger Games. Year-by-year, an inclusive sum of twenty-five adolescents perish under feigned conditions— each round of the Games adorned with more sanguinary décor than the last. A Quarter Quell is now at hand, and Gamemaker Finbar Griffith intends to do all that he can to ensure the well being of the Games.
It’s become abundantly clear that the citizens of Panem have had enough, however. Whispers have begun maturing into acts of defiance just as they had before, thus giving birth to a miasma. Panem has been infected with an illness that has blossomed over time, only worsening with the Capitol’s treatment.
Let the 250th Annual Hunger Games commence, dear tributes.
